POLICIES

NEW CLIENTS

When visiting Salt and Light Esthetics for the first time, we will ask you to complete consent and intake forms to be reviewed by your Esthetician. This ensure that the requested services are suitable for your skin and do not pose any health risks based on your medical history. Clients under the age of 18 must have their consent and intake forms signed by a legal guardian to obtain explicit permission for treatment.

SAFETY AND PROTOCOLS

CHILDREN AND ANIMALS

In order to comply with safety regulations, children and animals are not permitted in the treatment room or waiting room while you are receiving services.

SERVICES PROVIDES TO MINORS

For clients who are minors at the time of the scheduled appointment, a legal guardian will be asked to complete an intake form and sign a consent for treatment.

SPA SANITATION

At Salt and Light Esthetics, we are compliant with all rules and regulations set forth by the Minnesota Board of Cosmetology and subject to regular inspections. We follow rigorous safety guidelines and ask that you do not schedule treatment if you are experiencing any symptoms of communicable illnesses. Our cleaning and sanitizing protocol complies with regulation and we take extra care to prepare our treatment room in between client appointments.

PRODUCT SAFETY

We strive to utilize only high-quality skincare products as part of our services and the products we offer as part of our retail sales. We provide Manufacturer Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all our products upon request. We carefully review your intake and medical history with you to ensure that you are protected from adverse skin reactions to the greatest extent possible. We are not able to use any products provided by you as part of our services.

DATA COLLECTION

To ensure your safety during treatment and to comply with state and federal regulations, we require clients to complete an intake form at each visit. As part of this intake, we collect basic demographic data, your health status, concerns about skin conditions, as well as your goals for treatment.

PERSONAL INFORMATION DATA PRIVACY

Your information will never be shared with third parties or without your consent. Our record keeping practices are HIPAA-compliant and all client information is safely stored at all times. Any data submitted via our booking system is managed securely via our payment processor, Phorest.

APPOINTMENT BOOKING

MISSED APPOINTMENTS

We ask that you abide by our cancellation policy and let us know at least 24 hours prior to your appointment if you need to cancel. If we do not receive timely notification and your appointment is a no-call/no-show, we reserve the right to charge your card on file 100% of the appointment value and 20% gratuity. Our automated system provides multiple reminder options to prevent this scenario. Please make sure to confirm or cancel your appointments as needed. Exceptions to this policy are made at our discretion depending on the circumstance of your cancellation.

CANCELLATIONS

We require 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations. If we receive your cancellation with less notice, we reserve the right to charge your card on file 100% of the appointment value and 20% gratuity. Exceptions to this policy are made at our discretion depending on the circumstance of your cancellation. In the event that we need to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances with less than 24 hours notice, we will offer you a 25% discount on a future service (cannot combined with other offers).

LATE ARRIVALS

We protect our clients’ scheduled appointment times and cannot accommodate late appointments that may intrude on the next client’s appointment time. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment, we reserve the right to ask you to reschedule and charge you a missed appointment fee of 100% of the appointment value and 20% gratuity. If your Esthetician accommodates you despite your late arrival, we will not be able to extend the appointment time past its original end date or reduce the service fee of the treatment.

APPOINTMENT DURATION

Please note that appointment times listed are approximate and may vary based on the service booked, individual skin needs, add-ons selected, and consultation time. Each service is customized to ensure the best experience and results, which may slightly affect the total duration of your appointment.

We kindly ask that clients arrive on time to allow proper care and consideration for all scheduled appointments.

RIGHT OF REFUSAL

Our desire is to build lasting client relationships and provide a safe, relaxing, and comfortable spa environment. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel services that do not comply with our spa policy and/or pose a threat to your and our staff’s safety or well-being. We will also decline service if your intake forms indicate that the requested service could have an adverse effect on your health or skin condition.
